School Council

Pupil voice is extremely important at Hurworth Primary School. Our school Council is formed from children in Year 1 – Year 6.

Elections are held in the Autumn term and children vote for who they want to represent their class on the council.

We are involved in decisions that improve the school and benefit the children and staff. We also enjoy organising charity events and fundraising throughout the school year.

“I like being in School Council because I get to see the school progress and see that I can help others.”

“We do lots of fun things and we get to make the school better.”

“I am able to be part of big decisions and I enjoy raising money and helping others.”
